Hi Internet. We never talk anymore.

I am on occasion a sweaty, thrumming, Micron-abusing creative mass. The above is my hard proof, an illo of my current project Rogue Agent Zed (or R.A.Zed, and I challenge you to come up with a cooler acronym than that), and a glowing white Monica Furious.

(Here's the same illo, minus MoFu and that shit background.)

If you do not know (and no real reason you should), Rouge Agent Zed is the print project I am currently working on for Hypersmash Studios. As I'd posted in a blog, the comic's about a junkie British task force agent; a dystopian future; "issues" involving government corruption. The script reminds me of the X-Files, written by a mid-80's William Gibson, commissioned by Marvel Comics.

(As an aside, I'd not realized how much I've missed working on MoFu, until drawing her again. Someday her destructive path will see its climax, though for now she remains in webcomic purgatory.)

A few other bits:

- I've given the gallery some love, including wading through a titanic amount of comment spam with a scythe, as well as updated/deleted some of my own exposition. Under one illo I actually said something like "It's good to do art like this. I guess if I'm good at doing this kind of art, I'll be good at the other stuff too." Thank you for your endurance. Also, if you know what this means, let me know.

Dirtyskydub updates often, as this is what I sometimes do when I'm not in the midst of some email crisis. The Leadsalad Tumblr, much like the Leadsalad website, is non-moving. The idea is to have sketches, updates, etc, a place to easily and dynamically post updates. Still working on it.

Tbone has a Tumblr as well, though I'm pretty goddamn sure he created it specifically so he could abandon it.

So, ladies and gents, this may be the last MoFu page. Maybe not ever, but for a long while.

Monica Furious is a dirge, a huge, bleak, dark grimy smear, an anthem dedicated to my shadows. Everyone in it was created to be killed, and frankly it's just not a place I want to spend any more time.

But, something new is in the works, oh you betcha. You can be sure that Tbone and I have something up our sleeves.

Got a sneek peek, but that's all you're getting for now...

Regarding this page, if you were wondering why the pilot of the KRF getaway ride is shouting ‘Stef’ as she’s blown to smithereens, it’s because she’s Sarah Zero, and Stef is the name of her creator (also known as Plughead, though having her scream PLUGGY! while she exploded seemed a bit obscene to me. Am I wrong?). She’ll be back, I imagine.

Oh, man. I hope not too many of you caught the page with the old text on it, though really, any page that sports this panel...

...really can't be all bad, can it?

So, yeah, I didn't realize how long it had actually been since my last update. I've just been working on quite a few different projects, including something for one of my favorite bands. But I'll see what I can do about getting the next page up before the month is out. Thanks for your patience, and if you aren't all that patient, then thanks for your silence. Heh.

Not a whole lot else to say at this point, though I'm sure I'm forgetting something and will be revising this soon enough.

Hope you lot aren't half as cold as I am...

Yeah, that's the title of this thing. I just do whatever my muse tells me to, no real point in fighting it, even if that means giving my illos long-ass titles. The [suture] part is from Chemlab, actually. I listened to Oxidizer over and over while I worked on this. The rest comes from Godflesh...

Got a couple of links for you to check out, though if you've been around recently you might have seen them already. The first one is a nice black and white sci-fi comic called The Fall, done by Ben Karon. I think it shows quite a bit of promise.

Secondly is an art site by Rick Shelton, Rats In The Walls. Rick also has a cyberpunk webcomic up his sleeve...

Lastly, a couple people in my forum have told me that I should post a blown up version of page 46, to show more of the tiny detals... And just to prove I've been working on the next page, here is a sneak peek.

Oh, and anyone who is confused as to what the fuck a leadsalad is, this will clear up any confusion. And no, we didn't make it...

Hey all. New page. Up. As you can see, MoFu has made it to the roof, with Kenji, and they are both pretty much intact. It's been a damn long time coming, this page. The end of this chapter is not too far off now. Page looks good too, in my opinion, and as always I'd love to hear what you have to say.

Not a whole lot else to say, though I did (re)find Copper, a gem of a comic. Also, rezo (no relation) has done a story called Violence Salaryman Teppei! which is indeed quite entertaining (Teppei's reaction upon meeting coworkers at a new job is pretty much identical to mine). I'm really looking forward to his Whiteplains project as well...
